Dr. Jackson H. Kuan received his medical degree in May of 1986 from Albany Medical College of Union University. His Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine occurred at Roosevelt Hospital from June, 1986 to June, 1989. During his PGY 2 and PGY 3 years, Dr. Kuan was awarded the best Resident of the year. Believing that additional training was essential, he then went on to a Gastroenterology fellowship at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center from July of 1989 to June of 1991. After graduating from GI fellowship he opened his Gastroenterology practice in Flushing in 1992. In April 2004, he was appointed Chief of the department of Gastroenterology at Flushing Hospital and several months later, clinical instructor in the department of Surgery at New York Hospital of Queens. In Feb 2012, Dr. Kuan resigned his position as Chief to put more focus onto his private practice. Dr. Jackson Kuan received Patient’s Choice Award 2010, 2012. On May 11th 2013, Dr. Kuan was a proud recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor Award for lifetime achievement. He is also on the search committee for Chairman of Emergency Department of New York Hospital Queens in 2013.
Dr. Michael Li was honored a Ph.D. degree in Biology and Immunology at CUNY in 1995. He then pursued his clinical medical career, starting his residency training in internal medicine at New York University Medical Center (from 1996 to 1999) followed by gastroenterology fellowship training at SUNY Stony Brook Medical Center (from 1999 to 2002). Dr. Li is an attending physician at New York Hospital Queens and New York Downtown Hospital since 2002. Dr. Li serves as the chairman of the board of Flushing Endoscopy Center, LLC and also the chairman of the board of directors of Chinese Community Accountable Care Organization. (CCACO). He is also one of the founders and sits on the board of Eastern Chinese American Physicians IPA (ECAP).
Dr. Yao is American Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology and a Fellow of American College of Gastroenterology. He graduated from the SUNY Upstate Medical Center in 1995. He completed this Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Norshore-LIJ Program with one full year of Transplant Hepatology Fellowship at UMDNJ at Newark in 2001. He served as Director of Hepatology at Northshore/LIJ Network-LIJ Medical Center in 2002. He later served as Director of Clinical Hepatology at Mount Sinai Medical Service at Elmhurst Hospital in 2003 to 2005. Currently, Dr. Yao is in private practice which specializes in Gastroenterology, Transplant Hepatology and Anal Disease. He is an expert in Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, and Hemorrhoid procedures.
